✨What a night full of love, support, and hope!✨

On September 23rd, In My Own Little Corner had its private NYC screening at Symphony Space where we shared both Chryssie Whitehead’s autobiographical play captured live My Own Little Corner” and the documentary directed by Whitehead, “The Stories Behind In My Own Little Corner” 🌻

A huge thank you to Noah Lands, , for making this night possible, and to our lead producer Kirsten Wrinkle for her continual support of this project. Endless gratitude to our incredible cast, crew, and every audience member who has joined us on this journey—you are the heartbeat to this project 🥰

We also want to thank mental health professional Juliet Kurhnle, , for facilitating a beautiful talkback, reminding us of our why, the impact we have made thus far, and our hopes as we continue spreading our mission with the world.

Lastly, we would like to shout out Broader Than Broadway, , for being IMOLC’s fiscal sponsor ❤️

This is just the beginning.

 Next stop: film festivals!
If you’d like to join us in our mission to open up conversations around mental health and bring light where it’s needed most—please send us a DM or an email 📧

here,

A week ago today we were lucky to have professionally filmed after over three years in the making, creating, cultivating and performing.

I was levitated by every single heart in the theatre that day and from afar with our theatre crew(Oscar, Martin &Temishia) front of house, cast, band and film crew totaling 45 to the loving, audience of 250 to authors giving their blessings, and Dr. Kaye Jamison.

BRAVI TO ALL. WE DID THAT TOGETHER!

is the Dramaturg of . A dramaturg is a theatrical editor who collaborates with dramatists, directors, and other theatre artists to build new works in conversation with relevant literary, historical, and cultural context. AKA, they make a show a WHOLE LOT BETTER.

Ken was truly the missing piece in the IMOLC creative team. Cerniglia joined us on our second stage reading of IMOLC and from the jump, he treated this show as if it’s his own baby, with immense love and care.

As a first time writer, Chryssie is immensely grateful for Ken’s input and direction. Thank you, Ken, for blessing this show with your magical storytelling powers. This show would not be the same without you. 🌻
