I hear this from so many clients and students and honestly from my own experience. Sometimes when you start saying no to some people, they may get annoyed or mad. Boundaries often reveal who was benefiting from you not having any. I’ve long enjoyed this quote because it’s so accurate:
“The only people who get upset about you setting boundaries are the ones who were benefiting from you having none.”
And here I am, teaching healing, empowerment, and intuition, and I still find myself slipping when I care so much for others. When someone close to me is struggling, it’s natural to go over the top, push myself into giving or listening a bit too much, and convince myself that being there for them is the right thing to do. When you are an empath, intuitive and healer you may often say,” Well, I know they had a tough time so it’s ok if they are acting this way, or demanding more or needing more focus and support…
But what I’m learning again and again is that saying yes out of feeling someone needs the support and ignoring your own needs, is not kindness; it’s avoidance of discomfort.
It’s uncomfortable to disappoint people. It’s uncomfortable to be misunderstood. But clarity is kindness, even at the cost of disturbing the foundation of how others are used to relating to us. The act of speaking clearly, taking care of myself, and staying accountable for my own well-being does not constitute selfish behavior; it’s an act of self-respect.
Denying yourself space and time doesn’t deepen relationships; it drains them. Each time we quiet our desires or push past our limits, resentment quietly grows in the background. And when we finally say “no,” it shocks people not because we’re doing anything wrong, but because we’ve conditioned them to expect our nonstop yes.
So here’s to preserving our peace. To respecting our limits before we reach our breaking point. And to remember love isn’t self-sacrifice; love is showing up as the fullest, healthiest version of ourselves. We might lose folks who really want our constant “yes” and while it hurts, it’s ok. No one can constantly say ,” yes,” the truth is we have to learn to say “No, you can’t do all the things. Go lay down!” to ourselves.
As I am saying No to myself and to others, I am feeling lighter and more grounded in what my priorities are now: Today. And that’s another point, sometimes we were called to say “Yes” and it felt right but as we re-prioritize our time, energy and goals, what used to be a yes, now is a no. And that is ok. We are always shifting and changing.
Boundaries aren’t walls. They’re bridges, clear pathways for love to flow freely, without guilt or resentment. And “no” can be one of the most healing words we ever learn to say.

Some souls feel called to slow down in winter, to rest, reflect, and let stillness do its quiet work. Others feel most alive in this season, creating, dreaming, and building as the world outside sleeps.
There’s no right way to move with the seasons.
Nature invites us to notice her rhythms, but also to honor our own.
Our bodies and spirits have cycles too, times for deep rest and times for radiant creation. The magic happens when we listen, trust, and align with what’s true for us.
This fall and winter (or whatever season you’re in), let yourself move at your own pace.
Honor the ebb and the flow. Both are sacred.

Vanessa , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
As a Latina born in Peru to Argentine parents, raised in New York City, and naturalized as an adult, I began bridging languages, realities, and cultures from a young age. My family was deeply spiritual, rooted in Catholicism yet respectful of Indigenous practices and that duality shaped how I saw the world. I became acutely aware of how people communicated, the pain they carried, and my own confusion and longing to understand it all.

In my latest conversation, I dive deep into what it really means to move through life’s unpredictable challenges with grace, faith, and a sense of humor (because Scorpio season always brings something extra, doesn’t it?).
I share personal stories and spiritual insights about those moments when things don’t go as planned even when we’re doing “everything right.”
This reflection is all about surrender, transformation, and resilience, the medicine of Scorpio energy itself.

Full Moons have a way of showing us what we didn’t want to see.
Not to punish us but to prepare us.
This Aries Super Full Moon isn’t here to coddle or comfort. Perhaps an exhale and then, it’s here to illuminate the truths that sting, the ones that break open the shell we’ve been living inside.
Sometimes that truth arrives as a conversation we didn’t expect, a sudden ending, or a realization about our own patterns. Or a deep recognition that no matter how hard you try, the relationship or path you invested yourself in will not work out. Not for a lack of trying rather due to differences that cannot be breached, even with love.
And it hurts. Because deep down, we knew.
We just weren’t ready to face it yet.
But the Moon’s light doesn’t lie.
It reveals what’s been quietly shaping our choices, draining our energy, or blocking our growth.
Truth can feel like loss at first.
But underneath it, there’s liberation, the kind that reminds us who we are and what we will no longer tolerate.
You don’t need to fight the illumination.
Let it burn what’s false.
Let it show you what’s real.
Because clarity, no matter how painful, is the most sacred act of self-preservation there is.
And once you’ve seen the truth in full light, you can never go back to pretending you didn’t.
