Giving Tuesday (December 2) is just 10 days away.

At PSI, your Giving Tuesday support fuels the heart of our mission. Every donation helps us:

• Offer scholarships so clinicians-in-training can deepen their work with spirituality and healing
• Sustain PSI’s programs that bring compassion, depth, and cultural humility to clinical practice
• Carry forward the legacy of Rev. John Kamas, whose commitment to emerging healers continues to shape our community

Together, we make sacred space for growth — for clinicians, for clients, and for the future of spiritually integrated psychotherapy.

Giving Tuesday (December 2, 2026) is a worldwide movement that invites communities across the world to give, share, and uplift.

At PSI, your Giving Tuesday gift supports the sacred work of training clinicians who integrate spirituality and psychotherapy with depth and care.

This year, your gift to PSI helps us:
-Provide scholarships for emerging clinicians to attend spiritually integrated psychotherapy trainings
-Support strengthening PSI’s programs and community partnerships
-Honor the legacy of Rev. John Kamas, whose vision continues to inspire the development of spiritually informed practitioners

Your generosity helps nurture the next generation of clinicians committed to healing, depth, and the sacred, and we deeply appreciate every contribution.

We’re proud to share that Sarah McCaslin, MS, MDiv, LCSW, will be presenting at the 2025 Spirituality in Psychotherapy Summit on Friday, December 5 (2:45–4:00 PM CT).

Her session, “Fostering Vitality in Clinical Practice: Interventions for Joy, Purpose, and Possibility,” explores how therapists can help clients move beyond symptom relief to rediscover joy, purpose, and connection to life’s fullness.

Drawing on spiritual care, depth-oriented psychotherapy, and creative practice, Sarah will offer tools to increase presence, rekindle meaning, and hold space for both grief and transformation.

On the eve of September 11th, PSI hosted Peace in Dialogue: Dharma Across Tradition, an evening of contemplative dialogue and spiritual solidarity featuring Khentrul Rinpoche, Swami Sarvapriyananda, and Ācārya Sthaneshwar Timalsina.

This gathering marked a rare and groundbreaking moment of dialogue among leaders from Advaita Vedānta, Tāntric Śaivism, and Buddhist Vajrayāna—three profound spiritual traditions that have historically followed distinct paths. In a time when spiritual seekers face both unprecedented access to diverse traditions and increasing pressures to defend their own, this meeting modeled the kind of open, boundary-crossing conversation urgently needed today.

We invite you to reflect on the evening, watch the recording, and consider supporting the participating communities—the Vedanta Society of New York, Vimarsha Foundation, and Dzokden. All donations will be divided equally among them to further their work in teaching, practice, and service. You can contribute here: https://secure.givelively.org/donate/psychotherapy-spirituality-institute-inc/peace-in-dialogue-fund

Additionally, we have recently launched the John Kamas Emergent Fund to honor Rev. John Kamas’s visionary leadership strengthened the heart of our work. For more information on making a donation, please visit: https://secure.givelively.org/donate/psychotherapy-spirituality-institute-inc/john-kamas-emergent-fund

As we reflect on the insights shared, may we carry forward the spirit of peace, wisdom, and mutual understanding that illuminated this evening.

In a time of disconnection and uncertainty, PSI creates spaces for reflection, community, and shared humanity.

At PSI, we believe that spiritual wisdom — across traditions — holds power to foster compassion, resilience, and inner transformation. Our gatherings invite New Yorkers of all backgrounds to come together, slow down, and reconnect with shared values.

This recent evening of interfaith dialogue and meditative practice with Shar Khentrul Rinpoche Jamphel Lodrö is an example of how we nurture peace, understanding, and hope in the heart of the city.
