We opened our event yesterday, in our indigenous way! A special land acknowledgment by Opalanietet from the Eagle Project , a Welcome by Joyce from The Ally Artists Group LLC and a Welcome and unity dance by the Cordillera Cultural Ensemble !Join us. Happy Filipino-American History Month!

For context, some of our ancestors were displayed in Human Zoos in St. Louis Missouri in 1904, in Coney Island Luna park in 1905, and around the United States and the World. This is a way for us to educate communities and "change" our history from being Human Zoo displays to cultural ambassadors! Join me and my Austronesian-Filipino Indigenous dance troupe, the Cordillera Cultural Ensemble (www.cordilleraculturalensemble.com) on October 4th at the Flux Factory for the opening of Maureen Catbagan's work entitled, "Alagaan and Salaysay" in Long Island City, Queens, NY @6:00PM and at Governor's Island, Colonel's Row, NY on Sunday, October 5th for the Filipino American History Month - "Remembering Our Living Traditions & Reflecting on Community Resilience" - this is an event from 11AM-5PM, the CCE are performing at 2:30PM. Hello everyone! I’m making 2 personal bold requests.

1. As it turns out, our venue in Edinburgh hasn’t really worked with us with our listing to remkd Audience to bring their ownn phones and our need for internet. So we need to bring as many unlocked smart phones as we can as long as it can scan a QR code. Internet in Edinburgh is unreliable and we need a UK bank account to get specific modems that we need.

2. I am producing two shows through my theater company and we realized that we have more expenses than anticipated. You may donate any amount, no pressure through our venmo or zelle.

We are flying out on Thursday, July 31st in the evening.

If you have an unlocked device or any old smartphone that you can lend us, please let me know.

Hello everyone! It’s a busy week!

Our cultural group, Cordillera Cultural Ensemble Is performing on June 1st, Sunday at the Philippine Independence Day parade at 11AM. And we will be joining our indigenous and Native American community at 3PM for the Drums Along the Hudson at Inwood Park. You are invited to cheer us on!

In celebration of August 9th - The International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples.
This group is dedicated to bringing together Indigenous people from around the world to connect in Edinburgh during the fringe festival. We are here to share our shows, support each other, perhaps share cultural experiences, and learn from each other. Whether you are First Nations, Native American, Maori, Aboriginal, or from any other Indigenous group, this meetup is for you. We are two fellow indigenous organizers from New York City: Joyce Laoagan (aka. Joyce Lao) from the Igorot tribe of the Philippines and Natalia Yandyganova from the Mari tribe of Russia. We are both producing an Immersive show called, AI: The Waiting Room and on top of that, Joyce is also performing and producing her own Comedy Cabaret Variety show called .
We think starting an indigenous artist group will have us united. encourage each other and perhaps other indigenous groups or friends to create art and meet up in different International fringe

We have been sitting on this news for a while now!
Our Team is going to this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival!!
We are a proud group of 4 women. Our show is called "Soulmates (Not) Found" Created, Directed also Executive produced by Natalia Yandyganova, co-produced by Sabby Morabito and Anna Bredikhina. I am Co-managing and producing the show.
We will have an in person show at Edinburgh from August 3rd to 20th and also will have an online show going on under Fringe as well. Please tag anyone you know who is going to the festival and share this post!
