Full write-up on my website Marie Satori(dot)com. No one knows the exhaustion of being everyone’s safe harbor while your own needs drift unanchored. No one knows how far you’ve come, or what your peace-keeping has cost you. What your endless accommodation has asked you to sacrifice. Success isn’t always about what we build. Sometimes it’s about what we stop tearing down within ourselves. Achievement isn’t always harmony. Sometimes it’s the courage to let things fall apart, so we can begin again.
Each of us needs to be loved for who we actually are, not who we become when we’re trying not to be too much. To be recognized for our authentic voice, not just our ability to echo others back to themselves. It’s human to want partnership that doesn’t require you to shrink. It’s our responsibility to stop negotiating our worth, to claim our space in every room we enter, to remember that love can handle your edges. We are all deserving of relationships that celebrate our wholeness.
