Most people think they have a communication problem.

They don’t.

They have a stress and energy problem.

When stress rises:
Breathing changes.
Tone changes.
Confidence drops.
Protection kicks in.

And then people say,
“I always mess this up.”

You’re not messing it up.

You’re shifting into protective energy.

The moment you understand your stress pattern,
communication stabilizes.

Stress isn’t the enemy.

It’s information.

And when you know how to read it,
everything changes.

Less stress.
More confidence.
More choice.

Before the week starts again, pause.

Notice where you’re carrying pressure that doesn’t belong to you.

Notice where you’re doubting yourself without evidence.

Notice where stress has been speaking and you’ve been ignoring it.

This week, don’t try to eliminate stress.

Listen to it.

Let it inform your energy.
Let your energy guide your choices.

That’s how confidence builds.

Less stress.
More confidence.
More choice.

You don’t have to figure everything out this weekend.

Growth isn’t always loud.
Sometimes it’s quiet.
Sometimes it’s noticing what no longer fits.
Sometimes it’s letting yourself rest without turning that rest into guilt.

Clarity doesn’t come from pushing.
It comes from listening.

I’m passionate about this work because I’m not teaching theory.

I’m a product of it.

I know how hard it is to face yourself.
To sit with stress instead of running from it.
To question old patterns, old identities, old ways of surviving.

I also know what’s on the other side.

More clarity.
More confidence.
More choice.

People don’t trust confidence alone.
They trust confidence rooted in lived experience.

This work isn’t easy.
But it’s worth it.

And I don’t just believe in it.
I live it.

Most people don’t lose confidence because they aren’t capable.

They lose it because stress quietly starts running the conversation.

When stress goes unchecked, energy tightens.
When energy tightens, clarity disappears.
And when clarity disappears, people start doubting themselves.

The work isn’t about forcing confidence.
It’s about learning how to read stress as information and regulate your energy so choice becomes available again.

That’s where real confidence comes from.

Crying isn’t the point.

Listening is.

Tears are one way the body releases stress.
Understanding what that release is pointing to is where growth happens.

When we stop judging our emotional responses, we get access to clarity.
And clarity creates choice.

Stress is information.
Emotion is communication.

Episode 55 – Re-released: When I Cry
🎙️ I AM SELF-ISH™ Podcast

Some conversations don’t expire.
They come back because they’re needed again.

I re-released this episode because lately, in my coaching work, I keep seeing the same thing show up:
overwhelm, grief, emotional fatigue, and people holding it all together until they can’t anymore.

This episode is about crying.
Not as weakness.
Not as losing control.
But as emotional release. Healing. Truth.

There were moments in my life when I couldn’t explain what I was feeling.
No words. No clarity.
Just tears.

And those tears did what words couldn’t.
They cleared space.
They brought honesty.
They reminded me what I was carrying.

Crying isn’t falling apart.
It’s emotional hygiene.
It’s courage.
It’s coming home to yourself.

If you’ve been holding a lot lately…
If you’ve been strong for everyone else…
If you’ve felt heavy and didn’t know why…

This episode is for you.

🎧 Episode 55 is available now.
Listen. Release. Breathe.

“I’m not actually living.
I’m overcorrecting for my past.”

That was the moment everything shifted.

What he thought was neediness was really fear shaped by a childhood that taught him safety meant holding things together at all costs.

What he called resilience was actually avoidance of his own needs.

The strongest emotion wasn’t anger.
It was hurt.

Instead of pushing that away, we treated it as information.

Not something to fix.
Not something to judge.
Something to listen to.

That awareness didn’t solve the relationship in one session.
But it changed how he sees himself.

And that’s where real change begins.

Less stress.
More confidence.
More choice.

You don’t need to have everything figured out today.

Growth doesn’t always look like clarity.
Sometimes it looks like pausing.
Sometimes it looks like questioning.
Sometimes it looks like resting inside uncertainty without turning it into self-doubt.

Your worth isn’t measured by how productive or certain you feel.

It’s already there.

If you’ve been doubting your value lately, pause for a moment.

Doubt doesn’t always mean you’re off track.
Sometimes it’s a sign you’re growing, stretching, or stepping outside an old identity.

Confidence isn’t about never questioning yourself.
It’s about knowing how to come back to what’s real when doubt shows up.

Be gentle with yourself today.

Less stress.
More confidence.
More choice.

A lot of capable people don’t doubt their value because they aren’t good enough.

They doubt it because stress and self-doubt quietly take over the story.

In this episode, Chris Donohoe and I talk about what it really means to stop doubting your value, build confidence grounded in reality, and choose yourself even when fear is present.

This conversation is for anyone who feels capable but still questions their worth, their pricing, or their next move.

Doubting your value isn’t a mindset problem.

It’s often a signal that you’ve been operating beyond your emotional capacity for too long.

When stress stays high, energy tightens.
When energy tightens, clarity drops.
And when clarity drops, confidence goes with it.

The work isn’t about pushing harder or proving yourself.

It’s about learning how to regulate your energy so you can respond with clarity instead of reacting from stress.

That’s where real confidence comes from.
