Have you ever dealt with THESE people?
“Have one”
“Come on, you can’t have one glass?
“You’re no fun, just try it”
Food pushers are ESPECIALLY frustrating when you’re trying to be locked into your fitness plan/routine.
Here’s the truth about food pushers…
They show love and bond through food. Although frustrating at time, their intentions are not always bad.
But sometimes the food they want you to enjoy with them doesn’t fit in with your health or dietary goals for the day and that’s ok.
It’s important to remember that you have every right to say no when you’re offered food that doesn’t align with your goals.
But here’s the key: you CAN communicate your choice with kindness and love.
Here are three ways you can handle it:
1. Offer to have the food “later” or “another time”
2. Politely say, “No thanks”
3. Suggest an alternative - like planning it into your day tomorrow!
These empowered responses are going to make you feel lighter mentally, physically, and emotionally because you’re putting YOU first.
Remember- Setting clear boundaries doesn’t mean you’re rejecting someone… it means you’re respecting yourself and your goals.
Embrace the power of communication.
Stay true to yourself.
And surround yourself with a support system that cheers you on.
