Another life transformed...

"Just a Ty for all your help. It’s working!

My food triggers have decreased, sometimes almost none. I have made several life style changes.

I’m continuing to explore the “old messages” rewiring my brain. I did find that eating “non inflammatory foods and eliminating those that foster inflammation has helped a lot.

Weight is leaving down 20 plus! Not weighing a lot just shopping in my closet. Down 3-4 sizes depending on brand.

The what, the when ,and the how I eat has changed..

My life style ty again it’s working. Now slowly adding in more movement and cleared to go to pool.

Yay! I love reading your weekly blog and am looking forward to setting up future coaching when I return in the end of May"

😲 I was talking to a woman recently who has been dieting since 1985.

She told me she simply doesn’t believe it’s possible for her anymore.
💔 It broke my heart, because she is carrying the weight of "failure" on her shoulders when the issue isn't her—it's her brain wiring.

You may believe that all you need to do to stop emotional eating is to stop buying your trigger foods.

That's a good idea in theory, but the truth is, you will still find a way to have those trigger foods, or you will overeat something else to fill the void.

Have you ever talked yourself out of eating the cookies you really wanted, only to go eat something "healthier" like a protein bar? Then you end up eating the cookies anyway, and more than you orginally planned...

This is what happens when we try talk ourselves through our food issues, instead of actually changing them with a different mindset that created them.

Removing trigger foods will NOT end your emotional eating. Changing the way you think about those foods, will. This is not a white-knuckle approach. This is proven mindset work, that transforms your relationship to food so you can have the cookies, feel good about it and trust yourself to stop at two.

As a nutritionist, I've seen SO many women struggle with keeping weight off.

No matter how many times I told them (way back when) to stop eating certain foods, cut carbs and to follow said meal plan, they would always end up falling off the wagon, gaining weight and feeling defeated and frustrated.

Out of my own weight loss journey, I realized that approach was antiquated and kept people stuck. It wasn't until I realized that working with my mindset was the key to actually losing the weight AND keeping it off.

That's why I became a weight loss coach. I figured out HOW to identify AND change the habits and behaviors that were keeping me and countless other women stuck in the vicious yo-yo dieting cycle.

GLP-1's have taken over the weight loss industry. In a world obsessed with thinness, celebrities are now showing up rail thin. It doesn't look health and this is the wrong messaging for women who have struggled for decades with weight loss. Skinny doesn't = healthy.

Weight Loss drugs don't fix the deeper issue with food. They don't change behavior, other than make you eat less ONLY while you are on them.

Not to mention all the known and unknown side effects still to be revealed. Did you know that no only are you losing fat on a GLP-1, but you're also losing muscle. The thing that keeps you healthy, strong, agile and mobile long-term.

Don't chase weight loss to look good in a dress, or fit into your skinny jeans from the 90's. Approach it armed with a proven process that works, long after any diet or weight loss drug is gone.

Crackers and butter, chocolate chip cookies, potato chips, ice cream...

These are the foods that a lot of women turn to when they have been dieting too long, or when they are stressed out, or emotional.

These "so-called" non-healthy foods become a crutch, a place to find respite...

Then they become a bigger problem, because they usually lead to weight gain, starting over, frustration and disappoinment, not to mention an out of control feeling while eating them.

When I was dieting, I remember having to cut out my favorite foods, like Quesadillas and even wine. This left me miserable, because I felt so deprived. That deprivation led to overeating foods I wouldn't even normally eat. That's the REAL problem with diets.

If you want to be able to eat your favorite foods without feeling out of control or worrying that they will make you gain weight, then it's time to look at your approach and mindset. Cutting them out and depriving yourself of pleasure will only work against you in the longrun.
