During this time of year we are all kind of forced into feeling thankful but let’s be real - sometimes we can’t find things to feel thankful for, especially when so much is going on in the world.

But for me feeling thankful makes me stop, pause and reflect.

You can be thankful for the big things in your life but especially the small things, like the ones we take for granted sometimes

- our health
- shelter
- loved one or one’s

So when you take a pause, what do you feel thankful for?

Have you had a professional photo shoot before?

If so - how was it? How did it make you feel? What was the process like? Did you enjoy it?

If no - why not? What’s stopping you?

I’d love to hear from you and especially help you realise that photo shoots can be fun and enjoyable. That when I do a shoot for a client it’s a collaboration and curated together with you and your vision in mind.

Do you love what you do?

Most of you know I was a lawyer in london. I wanted to help people and inside got pretty disheartened by a lot of things. I didn’t love it.

I’m grateful that my photography was there and that I now do what I love.

It’s not easy…running a business, building, developing, deadlines and more …but I love it!

I get to meet people from all backgrounds, hear their stories and learn about their journey and then curate a whole shoot around it.

Do you love what you do?

I’ll never forget the day I was called “ugly”.

I was 17 years old, at college doing my Alevels and it stuck with me.

I was never the “prettiest” the “it girl” the popular girl” or any of that.

Looking back I realise how much that affected me but as I grew older I realised what you look like has nothing to do with what’s inside you and what kind of person you are.

Don’t comment on peoples appearance. If you feel inclined to comment, comment on their personality or how they make you feel.

What sticks in your mind from your experiences with others comments about you?

Congratulations and your incredible team in impacted 11 million life’s with the work that you do.

Diwali on the Hudson was nothing short of extraordinary. The event brought together a dynamic and inspiring group of like-minded individuals, all united by a shared commitment to making a meaningful impact. Against the stunning backdrop of the Hudson River, the evening was filled with warmth, celebration, and purpose. From the beautiful decor to the electric energy in the room, every detail reflected the spirit of Diwali - light, hope, and community. Most importantly, it was a powertul reminder of what can be accomplished when people come together to support a cause greater than themselves.

Check out the much needed work that Desai Foundation does and support how you can.

Who are you? How do you view and deal with mistakes? Do you like this version of you?

As each year goes by, I do look back and consider who I was and where I am now.

I have always looked as “the downs”, “the mistakes” and hat ever you called them, as lessons. I also always try to see the good that came out of them … which isn’t easy and sometimes don’t feel possible, but I try.

I do genuinely love who I am right now … I’ve never felt more comfortable in my mind and soul. I don’t know if it’s peri menopause, age, experience …. What ever it is I am embracing it.

So how do you feel? How do you deal with the downs that life can throw?

Who are you really?
