Meet Emma & Baku — two tiny survivors who deserve a forever home ❤️🐾

Emma (the sweet brown girl) and Baku (her snow-white brother) were abandoned as tiny puppies at a construction site in Istanbul. With care and time, they’ve grown into healthy, loving, small-sized pups who are now ready for a new life.

They’re friendly, playful, gentle, and can be adopted together or separately. They even do well with cats when introduced slowly.

They are currently in Istanbul, but Melisa can personally fly them to the USA, Europe, or the UK — something we’ve done many times before so these dogs can have the future they deserve.

If you’ve been thinking about adopting, consider opening your home to one of these brave little souls.

Do you love Summer? The excessive heat can work as a appetite inhibitor but also decrease motivation to exercise midday.

on a personal note, I moved many times and have lived in many different cities. What I learned is that every time you move or live in a different climate you have to adapt your lifestyle, and also work out routine. You cannot continue the same regret routine during the summer and the winter, as both months are different for your bodies (unless you work out in a/c)

Instead of forcing yourself to go through a work out when it’s 100° outside (like I am in right now 🤪), I would recommend for you to embrace the beautiful seasonal physical activities you can do.

Try and schedule your workouts between 6 and 9 AM or between 7 PM onwards. If you can then a midday nap is wonderful, it is commonly recommended from many people that live in hot countries to make sure that you avoid sun exposure midday during the long summer months.

Make sure that you are also increasing your hydration with not only water but water containing fruits and vegetables. most importantly, make sure that you do not have high expectations for your work output in general. In the summer we tend to feel like we are in “off mode” and therefore we want to spend more time with your family and be outdoors. Enjoy the season and spend time with your loved ones—- that’s food for your soul 😍😍😍🥰🥰😇😇

What to eat when you go out?🥳🎈🎉
It’s important to go out and socialize 👯‍♀️🪩🤗💕
Do you feel that the only options to order when you go out are chips🍪 and beer🍻? You’re not alone! There are actually sooo many options to choose (endless)✅
Here are some healthy options to order :
1. A large bottle of water (🍋 adds flavor)
2. Herbal teas 🫖🍵
3. Seltzer or tonic water 💦
4. Boiled,grilled,baked or raw veggies🥕 🥦🥒🥗🫑🥗
5. A fruit plate (my favorite 😻)
6. Nuts 🥜
7. Fresh lemonade
8. Virgin cocktails🍸🍹🥥 without sugar /syrup

If you are going to drink alcohol, try to not drink on an empty stomach and drink a glass of water WHILE you drink alcohol. This is because alcohol is a toxin and dehydrating to your body.
The feeling of being drunk is actually your body being intoxicated (poisoned ☠️). This is why it’s important to lower our alcohol intake 🤗🤗🤗

If you need to drink alcohol to go out, then it is important to take a step back and think why that is? It is normal to feel shy from time to time, But ultimately you should feel comfortable with the people you choose to hang out with, and also with yourself, without alcohol. It is a true liberation 🆓to dance 💃 and feel confident without any alcohol.

Chia seeds have gained attention as an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acid. They also are an excellent source of dietary fiber at 10 grams per ounce (about 2 tablespoons), and contain protein and minerals including iron, calcium, magnesium and zinc.
Chia seeds are rich in fiberTrusted Source, boasting 9.75 grams (g) per 1 ounce (oz) serving. They also contain 4.69 g of protein per serving.

Both fiber and protein can temporarily suppress appetite by making a person feel fuller for longer. Moreover, each serving of chia seeds contains only 138 calories, making them a low calorie, nutrient dense snack.

Scientists have only recently begun studying the potential weight loss benefits of chia seeds. Some of these studies have shown promising results, but the data are far from conclusive.

The best way to feel good when you travel, is quite simple. 💕😀

When you travel, your body, and senses have so much new stimulation incoming, that the last thing your body actually needs is more stimulation in the gastrointestinal tract.

Eating locally can help support the country you’re visiting and ❤️ your gastrointestinal flora. When you buy produce from local vendors and cook at home, (or even eat the fruit on the street🤣🙌) you eat natural produce grown in the location which is in symbiosis with the pollen you’re inhaling, and the tap water you’re drinking…supporting your digestion with fiber, water, and enzymes.

When you travel, if you are tempted to try every new food that you see, (which is totally natural 🤣) keep in mind that there are so many additional🏅aspects of traveling that can also be exciting😀.

What about booking a massage or guided tour instead of going to a Michelin restaurant?

We are so easily drawn to food because it is a known pleasure.

When we travel, we step out of our comfort zones . This can make us anxious 😥 and worried, and when we travel we may use food for comforting this anxiety and bringing us pleasure (back into our comfort zone).

Key message: when traveling try to find other sources of pleasure and comfort than food.

Of course try local food but make sure you are supporting your own digestive system, as we are all different.

Iron is an essential nutrient for good health. Learn what causes iron-deficiency anemia and how you can increase iron levels naturally

If you have iron-deficiency anemia, taking iron orally or getting iron administered intravenously along with vitamin C is often the fastest way to raise your iron levels. 

Iron is necessary to produce hemoglobin in red blood cells, which helps the RBCs carry oxygen to organs and other tissues of the body. Lack of iron disrupts this process, and insufficient oxygen supply can make you feel tired and short of breath during physical activities.

Your doctor will first try to identify the cause and severity of your anemia and then recommend the right treatment for you. Depending on your blood tests (including hemoglobin level, red blood cell count, etc.), your doctor may recommend eating iron-rich foods and vitamin C-rich foods instead of prescribing an iron supplement. In severe cases, a blood transfusion may be needed.

An easy tip to watch calories when eating outside? Order your dressing on the side! Common salad dressings average from 100 to 250 calories per tablespoon, which can be around 2 pound of body fat gained per month if you order a salad every day. Lower calorie dressings are lemon juice, vinegar and delicious soy sauce that i had with today! :)
