It took a long time for me to be ok with this. Years ago, I would crumble when others hurt me with intent, because I was not well enough to handle it. But now? I’m bulletproof. And I’m so grateful for my people. Even if you have just a few, that is a blessing. I’m proud to say that I have more than a handful.

I want to say thank you to my people for your unwavering support. I may pride myself on being an emotionally self-reliant, strong independent woman, but that support is invaluable, and I don’t take it for granted. Please know that I’m always here for those of you in my camp. I love you all. ❤️ Stay blessed. 🥹🙏🏽

Society has brainwashed us to only focus on helping those that are physically ill, and normalized that being physically ill is the only way it’s ok to be unwell. And you wonder why we have a mental illness epidemic at the macro level in this world.

We need to break the stigma, stop shaming the mentally ill, provide them aid and send them “get well” gifts too!

When you choose being proactive over reactive, you get to know the meaning behind the particular emotion that comes up for you. Channel it, and ask yourself “Do I need to express this by writing or drawing what I am feeling on paper? Do I need to work it out in the gym? Do I need to assert healthy verbal communication about it? Or do I need to just breathe?”
