Earlier this week, the Center for WorkLife Wellbeing spread holiday cheer throughout Christiana Hospital as our festive wellbeing wagon rolled across campus! Stocked with sweet and savory treats, the wagon offered caregivers a brief moment to pause, enjoy, and feel appreciated during this busy season.

The Center for WorkLife Wellbeing is committed to supporting, uplifting, and caring for those who care for others—and this celebration was just one small way to say thank you. We are truly grateful for our extraordinary caregivers who bring compassion, comfort, and connection to our community and to one another every single day.

Heike makes it her mission to recall something meaningful about every patient — whether it’s a family experience, a recent trip, or a personal milestone — and bring it up at the next visit, even a year later. It’s her way of letting patients know: “I see you, and you matter.”

After years in critical care, Heike now focuses on building long-term relationships and supporting women through every stage of life, from birth control and perimenopause to menopause and beyond. An overactive bladder or needing to use the bathroom multiple times during the night can lead to increased fall risk. In addition, some medications used to treat bladder conditions may also cause side effects that contribute to falls.
