A sweet success!

Local Girl Scouts from the Chesapeake Bay set up shop at Juniper Village to sell their famous cookies, and the turnout was incredible. Our community came together to support the troop’s efforts in a big way, far exceeding their sales expectations.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to grab a box, and a special thanks to the Girl Scouts for bringing so much sweetness to our community!

The St. Patrick’s Day celebrations kept rolling with a high-energy happy hour, all thanks to the fantastic musical talents of Jim and Shelley Kelley. The room was filled with smiles and great music as everyone embraced the holiday spirit together. This performance felt especially heartwarming because of Shelley’s connection to the community through her mother, Ann Rice. It was truly special to have Shelley back with us, sharing her artistry and creating a vibrant atmosphere that honored her mother's memory in such a joyful way. The talent and dedication shown by Jim and Shelley turned the afternoon into a standout celebration that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

Community members had a fantastic time participating in a festive Shamrock Scavenger Hunt! After searching high and low, everyone enjoyed redeeming their finds for special prizes and celebrating their successful hunt. It was a wonderful way to bring some extra luck and excitement to the afternoon.

Juniper is proud to announce that Troy Curlett has joined our team as the new Environmental Services Director! With 24 years of experience in healthcare maintenance, Troy views his work as a true calling that began in childhood while visiting the healthcare center where his mother worked. Those early memories shaped his deep understanding of how vital a well-cared-for environment is to the people who live and work within a community.

Outside of his professional role, Troy leads a vibrant life with his wife, their six children, and a lively household of five pets. His extensive expertise and genuine heart for service make him a fantastic addition to our team. We are incredibly fortunate to have him on board and invite you to join us in welcoming Troy to the Juniper family.

Juniper is thrilled to introduce our new Assistant Director of Wellness, Allyson Samluk, RN. With a career spanning 20 years in healthcare, Allyson brings an incredible wealth of knowledge and professional expertise to the Juniper team. As a Registered Nurse holding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, her passion for the field began at the young age of 12. After witnessing the dedicated nurses who stayed by her grandfather’s side to help him recover from a heart attack, she knew that nursing was her true calling.

Beyond her impressive professional background, Allyson has been married for nearly 11 years and is the proud mother of a wonderful 8-year-old son who keeps her life both busy and full of joy. Her deep-rooted commitment to compassionate care makes her a perfect fit for our community and our mission of wellness. We are so happy to have her expertise and heart as part of our leadership team.
