Rising Hope Therapy, LLC

Rising Hope Therapy, LLC Offering mental health services to children, adolescents and adults through individual, family or couples counseling.

We provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can identify, explore and begin to overcome various life struggles. The clinicians at Rising Hope therapy believe in this quote from Brene Brown: “We don’t have to do it alone, we were never meant to.” This belief is a driving force behind why we want to work with individuals with various struggles. The owner, Christina Emmanuel-De Luna, is a licensed professional counselor who is passionate about serving clients who wish to overcome obstacles and create movement in areas where one may feel stuck, unmotivated or lost. Rising Hope Therapy is about finding already existing strengths and building upon them to create change. It is our hope that we can join you on your journey to well-being.

Our worth is not defined by our achievements or the validation we receive from others. Constantly seeking praise can lead to exhaustion and disappointment when the reward we seek is not given to us.

When we measure our value by our character, values, and actions rather than by external validation, we can find fulfillment and peace in purpose rather than praise from others.🩷

There’s a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from being “the strong one.”

The one everyone calls.
The one who keeps it together.
The one who absorbs the tension in the room.

Many women carry invisible emotional labor at work, at home and in relationships. Over time, that constant holding can become burnout, anxiety, or quiet resentment.

Strength should not require self-abandonment.

This Women’s History Month, we’re honoring women by saying this clearly:
You deserve support too. Period.

🌿 Because community thrives when we do.

As we close out Black History Month, we want to leave you with a few mental health facts and a reminder that taking care of your mind and body and reaching out for support is not a sign of weakness but of strength.

So, whether that means calling a friend, opening up to someone you trust, or scheduling an appointment with a therapist, you deserve the support and do not have to do it all alone.

Black history is 365, and so is taking care of yourself. 🖤✨

Céline Dion might disagree, but sometimes spending time all by yourself is just what you need to uplift your mood and improve productivity.

Make today a day for a solo lunch and welcome solitude. Use this time to rest, read a book, listen to soothing music, or simply enjoy each bite of your meal without interruptions.

This self-care act may seem small, but it can have a big impact on your well-being. Give it a try today! 🍽💙

There’s something sacred about finally being able to exhale in a therapy room.
Recently, we had the honor of walking alongside a client here in Newark who was carrying identity stress, relationship strain, and that quiet question so many of us hold: “Am I too much?
Through identity-affirming therapy, intentional boundary work, and strengths-based integration, something shifted.
Anxiety softened. Communication with their partner deepened. Self-worth was remembered and grew.
Not overnight.
But steadily.
Those are the kinds of changes that don’t just feel good... they change lives.
At Rising Hope Therapy, we believe your story deserves safety. Your identity deserves respect. And your healing deserves expertise.
If you’re navigating any of this or simply trying to hold it all together… you don’t have to do it alone.
We’re here in Newark. And we care deeply.
