LMHS held a Walk With A Doc event on Saturday, November 1. Participants enjoyed a walk at C-TEC as Karen Smith-Silone, D.O., of Licking Memorial Gynecology, discussed and answered general questions about gynecological cancer awareness and screenings. Blood pressure screenings and healthy snacks were provided.

The College of Healthcare and Information Management Executives (CHIME) recently recognized Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) as one of the Digital Health Most Wired recipients of 2025, marking the twelfth time that LMHS has received the award. The CHIME Digital Health Most Wired program conducts an annual survey to identify organizations that exemplify best practices through their adoption, implementation, and use of information technology to improve the health of their communities. LMHS earned recognition as a Most Wired recipient for the acute care and ambulatory settings.

Our Project SEARCH interns have been busy during their first rotation! Ten students started the 2025-2026 Project SEARCH High School Transition Program in August at Licking Memorial Health Systems. This is the tenth year that LMHS has hosted the program, which provides real-life work experience, combined with training in employability and independent living skills, to help youth with disabilities make successful transitions from school to adult life.

Licking Memorial Health Systems is dedicated to improving the health of the community, which is why we proudly support the Mental Health & Recovery (MHR) Renewal Levy that will be on the November 4 ballot. This is not a new tax, but a renewal, which will sustain vital mental health and addiction services for residents of Licking and Knox Counties. In 2024, over 24,000 individuals, including over 10,000 youth, benefited from programs such as 24/7 hotlines, urgent care mental health clinics, school-based programs, addiction recovery, and domestic violence support. More than 40 participants gathered at C-TEC of Licking County for the Active•Senior Gourmet Gardener event in October. Participants enjoyed demonstrations from LMHS Culinary Services Gardener Kristina Mohler and Chef Brian Merritt, and a fall-themed meal prepared by Chef Brian and Sous Chef Colin Gleek.
