This is precisely why we encourage our patients to get their supplements from our office or another doctor's office. The quality of professional products are far superior and the combinations of nutrients in the supplements work together for proper absorption. All these years I have had to bite my tongue not to use the names of these stores, particularly GNC, as examples. Now that it is public, I guess I don't have to hold back anymore.

The New York State attorney general has ordered four major retailers to stop selling herbal supplements after finding they rarely contain the ingredients on the label.
