🌟 A Historic Day for Newark’s South Ward 🌟

Today marked an exciting and meaningful milestone as we celebrated the groundbreaking of the South Ward Wellness Center. This project represents a powerful investment in the health, well-being, and future of our community.

Saint James Health is honored to be part of this transformative initiative alongside our incredible partners, including BRICK Networks and the Newark YMCA, and the many supporters who believe in building stronger, healthier neighborhoods.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to those who joined us and helped make this moment so special. Saint James Health is proud to join BRICK Networks and the Newark YMCA in celebrating the groundbreaking of the South Ward Wellness Center — a transformative investment in the health and future of our community.

This 51,000-square-foot neighborhood wellness hub will connect families to coordinated services that support health, stability, and economic mobility — and will be open to all, regardless of insurance status, residency status, or ability to pay.

We are truly honored to be a part of this important moment and grateful for the opportunity to welcome U.S. Senator Andy Kim and Lieutenant Governor-Elect Dr. Dale Caldwell alongside our partners at RWJBarnabas Health.

It was meaningful to share how strong, community-based partnerships are advancing efforts to combat food insecurity, expand access to healthy food and health care, and address social determinants of health across New Jersey. We are especially proud that the visit concluded at Saint James Health, where the Retail Pharmacy and Food Farmacy reflect our shared commitment to bringing essential resources directly into the communities we serve.
