This year’s Developmental Disabilities Awareness & Advocacy Day theme is The Power of Support — and we know that the most powerful stories come from you.

Have you experienced support that changed your life?
Have you been a support to someone else in a way that made a lasting impact?
Has support helped you, your family, or your community thrive?

We are inviting individuals with developmental disabilities, family members, caregivers, advocates, and allies to submit their stories for a chance to join us on stage at this year’s Developmental Disabilities Awareness and Advocacy Day and help bring our theme to life.
Your voice matters. Your story matters. And sharing it could inspire others across Ohio.

Today I was able to visit Watkins Memorial High School students who are going through the DSP-U program provided by Lighthouse Cove ! Huge shout out to all the teachers involved in this program, the pride and passion they have for these students was absolutely amazing to witness! The students shared with me that they are loving this program and their favorite part is the internship section. They feel it is most rewarding when they can go and see first hand what it takes to be a DSP! Thank you again to all the students and staff who made this program possible!!

CALLING ALL LICKING COUNTY DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES PROVIDERS!

If you are an independent, agency or employment provider serving Licking County, we invite you to attend our Provider Steering Committee meetings. These meetings are hosted by the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities Provider Relations team to bring together the providers of Licking County to connect, collaborate and empower one another. Please join us the last Tuesday of every month at 10:00am at LCBDD. We are very excited to continue to support our providers in the driver's seat!
