I want to give a huge shout out to CSS Licking County employees for completing the Direct Leadership Certification through Lighthouse Cove! This program is perfect for supporting and teaching providers all the different tools they need in order to be a great leader! Yesterday, I was able to listen to all of their presentations on the best ways to support DSPs and new Supervisors. I was inspired by all the amazing creative ideas that ranged from having mentors, check in worksheets, lanyards that can be worn with pride, building relationships and moving to an electronic system! Thank you to Bethany Toledo and Kevin Metz from Lighthouse Cove for putting on yet another amazing program. Also, thank you to Lisa Diss from CSS Licking County for supporting and encouraging staff through this process!!

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, and today I had the privilege of seeing two incredible providers- PALS Chrysalis Health and Center for Disability Services- at the Ohio Statehouse for DD Awareness and Advocacy Day. The PALS team was able to meet with Representative Kevin Miller and advocate for some changes in our community. It is always inspiring to watch DSPs advocate alongside the individuals they are supporting! DSPs thank you for everything you do and for advocating inclusion for everyone!

Yesterday we kicked off our first monthly Provider Steering Committee meeting! This meeting was created so all Licking County DD providers can come together and feel supported in the driver’s seat. At this meeting, we were able to have Mid East Ohio Regional Council (MEORC) join us to speak more about Tableau! We also had discussions around; PAWS, ODOT physicals, winter weather staffing, art display opportunities, volunteer opportunities and an Employee Resource Network pilot program. If you missed this one, no worries! We will see you next month on March 24th at 10:00am at LCBDD!

If you are an independent, agency or employment provider serving Licking County, we invite you to attend our Provider Steering Committee meetings. These meetings are hosted by the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities Provider Relations team to bring together the providers of Licking County to connect, collaborate and empower one another. Please join us the last Tuesday of every month at 10:00am at LCBDD. We are very excited to continue to support our providers in the driver's seat!
