This Saturday is one of those rare, circle-it-on-your-calendar kind of days. Everyone gets in free at the Museum for Mid Oregon Free Family Saturday on January 31. You can explore current exhibits like “Soil Alive!” and “Drawn West,” spend time with wildlife, and catch Bird of Prey Encounters happening every hour from 11 am to 3 pm. Bonus: Dr. Jerry Freilich will be around talking insects and entomology!

Free Family Saturdays have been part of the Museum for more than 20 years thanks to It’s a great way to experience everything that’s happening here right now.

Heads up, it does get busy, so carpooling is a good move. If you miss this one, the next free day is February 28.

Connections NW and Thrive had a wonderful time hosting our Douglas County Carnival event. Thank you to everyone who came out to join the fun! Lots of faces were painted, games played, balloon animals made, and popcorn eaten. We had a blast!
