Happy Thanksgiving!! We are remembering those in our community with food insecurity this holiday season.

We are collecting donations for the Bruin Pantry, a YCAP food pantry open to the whole community, based on the George Fox University campus. The food drive end December 19th. Stop by our office after your next trip to the grocery store or bring some non-perishable food items with you to your next counseling appointment or trip to Gusto downstairs! Our address is 901 N. 🌟I had so much fun dialoguing with the thoughtful students of Catalyst High School about the pros and cons of the school cell phone ban in Oregon.

🗣We talked about the nuances of different kinds of phone use, concerns about safety in school emergencies and contact with parents, the issue of distraction during instruction, cyber bulling and awkward social interactions.

🧠We had an active discussion about the nervous system, sleep, and research about social media use and mental health. We even talked about being bored, creativity and how to be an introvert without a phone at lunch. I loved every second of it. What great students and teachers! Thanks to Connie Rice for the invite!👩‍🏫
