Healthy food assistance for new and expecting families with children ages 0 to 5. Food Aid • Nutriti Our Newberg WIC office is located inNewberg, Oregon.

This location is convenient for caregivers and expecting mothers in the Newberg area to get help with securing healthy and nutritious food for their children and themselves. The WIC program also offers benefits including: growth tracking to make sure your children are growing at a healthy rate, nutrition education and advice for caregivers and expecting mothers, and breastfeeding help. Specialized breastfeeding peers are also available for after-hours assistance with participant breastfeeding questions. In addition, help finding healthcare and other community services is available.

She is noted for addressing unsanitary practices and horrific conditions in battlefield hospitals and advocating for better hygiene, sterile facilities, and improved living standards. She is accredited for reducing the death rate among wounded soldiers. In 1860, she founded the world’s first nursing school, where students studied from her groundbreaking book, Notes on Nursing, emphasizing the importance of sanitation in healthcare.

Kids love getting a treat from their favorite fast-food restaurant, but be careful not to overdo it! Fast food is typically high in sodium, fat, and added sugars which can lead to childhood obesity if eaten too much. Limit how often your kids eat fast food to really make each meal a treat!
