Friendsview is a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community located next to George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon.

Since 1961, Friendsview has been serving the needs of seniors looking for a comfortable, secure, friendly, faith-based community. As a not-for-profit community, Friendsview is operated with the needs and best interests of the residents in mind. Our continuing care concept provides for your needs today and tomorrow, right on campus. What’s more, we are a “Type A” facility, which means that if your needs change during the time you live here and you need a higher level of care, your rates will stay stable, even though you may require additional services. This continuum of care offers you and your family peace of mind.

February Garage Sale Record!

We’re thrilled to share that the total for our February garage sale was higher than our previous record!

Even more impressive, 178 residents came together to make this event a success. Their energy, effort, and generosity continue to make our community shine.

On Thursday, January 29, resident and former Resident Council Chair Carol Sherwood presented Friendsview Through the Ages: 1960–2026. The presentation offered a thoughtful look at Friendsview’s history, its enduring connection to the Friends Church, and the values that continue to guide the community today.
With more than 100 people in attendance, the event was a wonderful, engaging, and meaningful prelude to Friendsview’s upcoming 65th anniversary celebration this year, honoring both our rich past and the vibrant community we are today!

On Friday, January 23, we hosted our first Friendsview Sock Hop, and it was a blast! Residents and staff laughed, danced, competed in a fun dance contest, and enjoyed punch and appetizers while socializing. The energy was high, the smiles were big, and it was a wonderful success!
