Trauma manifests differently in each person, but common signs include emotional numbness, difficulty concentrating, nightmares, flashbacks, avoidance, and heightened anxiety or startle responses, along with physical symptoms like fatigue, stomachaches, headaches, pain, an overwhelming feeling of dread, and sweating.

This is one aspect of trauma therapy that I love to explore.
What does trauma look like?
What does it sound like?
What do you hear?
Does it have a voice?
Do you know the voice?
Does it have an age?

Take a moment, breathe, center yourself, and be curious about what your trauma looks like to you. Trauma is beautiful and painful♡ and it is a the most profound moment when we learn to connect to that peice of you. Know it, understand it, and love it.

Understanding Trauma: A Path to Healing

Trauma can affect anyone, and its impact can be profound and long-lasting. Whether it's from a single event or prolonged exposure to distressing situations, trauma can shape our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in ways we might not fully understand.

**Recognizing Trauma**
- Trauma isn't always visible. It can manifest as anxiety, depression, or even physical symptoms.
- It's important to acknowledge and validate your feelings. There's no "right" way to respond to trauma.

Healing from Trauma:
Seeking support is crucial. Sharing your experiences, whether through therapy, support groups, or talking to trusted friends and family, can be incredibly healing.

- Self-care practices like mindfulness, exercise, and creative outlets can also play a significant role in recovery.

Supporting Others:
- Be a compassionate listener. Sometimes, just being there for someone can make a world of difference.

- Encourage them to seek professional help if needed. Healing is a journey, and asking for guidance along the way is okay.
