On Monday, Newberry Memorial Gardens will host committal services for Charles Leopard, former City of Newberry Fire Department Captain and WWII Veteran. Between Noon and 2pm, Fire Department and Military honors will be rendered, and traffic in and out of the cemetery may be effected.

We appreciate your understanding as we honor Mr. Leopard for his extraordinary life of service.

On a visit to JF Hawkins Nursing Home today for their 60th Anniversary of operations, we learned that the beautiful Chapel was built as a result of donations from our very own founder … Otis Whitaker. Very special.
