Lyric Audiology and Tinnitus is a full service audiology, tinnitus and hearing aid practice that provides services to children and adults. We offer complete diagnostic testing, Tinnitus evaluation and treatment, Auditory Processing Evaluations, hearing Aid Evaluations and treatment. Harriet Jacobster, Au.D., is an ASHA Certified Doctor of Audiology with
30 years of experience working with various groups in diagnostics, tinnitus, hearing aid and rehabilitation services. She earned her Doctor of Audiology from Nova Southeastern University, Florida, with a specialty in advanced diagnostic techniques. Dr. Jacobster has served on the faculties of several colleges and hospitals as well as on the Board of Directors of the Association of Adult Musicians with Hearing Loss. She was a nominee to the Board of Governors of the American Board of Audiology and was co-chair of the Fundraising Committee for the Association of Medical Professionals with Hearing Loss. She is on the Review Panel of The Internet Journal of Allied Health Sciences and Practice and was a member of the Practice Compliance and Membership Committees of the American Academy of Audiology.

When Technology Learns to Listen — and Think With Us

OpenAI just announced they’ve acquired Software Applications Incorporated, the team behind Sky — an unreleased Mac app that lets AI see what’s on your screen and take action in your apps.

Most people are excited or terrified (sometimes both).
But as an audiologist and health coach, I see something else entirely: potential.

For people with Parkinson’s, ALS, MS, or limited mobility, this kind of AI could mean real independence — managing emails, writing, scheduling, even creating — all through voice, intent, or one day… thought.

Yes, it’s powerful. Yes, it’s a little unnerving.
But used wisely, this isn’t about machines replacing us — it’s about technology re-enabling us.
