When Technology Learns to Listen — and Think With Us
OpenAI just announced they’ve acquired Software Applications Incorporated, the team behind Sky — an unreleased Mac app that lets AI see what’s on your screen and take action in your apps.
Most people are excited or terrified (sometimes both).
But as an audiologist and health coach, I see something else entirely: potential.
For people with Parkinson’s, ALS, MS, or limited mobility, this kind of AI could mean real independence — managing emails, writing, scheduling, even creating — all through voice, intent, or one day… thought.
Yes, it’s powerful. Yes, it’s a little unnerving.
But used wisely, this isn’t about machines replacing us — it’s about technology re-enabling us.
