Luke’s Cornwall Hospital is a not-for-profit hospital dedicated to serving the health care needs of those in the Hudson Valley. Luke’s Hospital and The Cornwall Hospital merged to create an integrated health care delivery system, providing quality comprehensive health care services. With dedicated staff, modern facilities and state-of-the-art treatment, St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital is committed to meeting the needs of the community and continuing to aspire to excellence. Each year the organization cares for more than 270,000 patients from around the Hudson Valley. With 1,500 employees, the hospital is one of the largest employers in Orange County. George’s Church. The Cornwall campus was established in 1931. SLCH was the first hospital in the region to earn New York State Stroke Center designation, and has one of the newest Emergency Departments in the region. A recent $11 million renovation and expansion of the Kaplan Family Center for Emergency Medicine at the Newburgh campus, and the Littman Center for Emergency Medicine at the Cornwall campus, has resulted in state-of-the-art facilities designed for patient comfort and convenience. General trauma bays and specialty treatment bays for cardiac, asthma, women's health and pediatrics enable SLCH's highly skilled ER team to provide comprehensive, quality care in a patient-centered environment. SLCH is accredited by The Joint Commission, which sets the standards for the delivery of quality health care.

Happy Patient Blood Management (PBM) Week! Our team tabled outside of our cafeteria all week offering insightful information regarding our PBM program and studies.

Our team is knowledgeable on Patient Blood Management (PBM) standards aimed at treating the underlying causes of anemia, identifying, and treating coagulopathy (bleeding disorders), and utilizing surgical techniques to limit bleeding during surgery.

As we continue to grow our Bloodless Medicine & Patient Blood Management (PBM) program, we will partner with you to provide excellent care, keep you safe, and take care of your healthcare needs.

We're excited to announce that Stephanie Jacks, RN on 4 North is our October Employee of the Month!

Stephanie joined the MSLC team in 2023 and since that time has had a tremendous impact on her patients and colleagues. She is known for her compassionate nature, often going above and beyond to provide extra support for her patients and their loved ones. She sets a positive example for new staff members on her unit, often noted by orientees for how well versed she is in the practice of nursing, and applying such expertise to teaching others.

Stephanie's colleagues shared that "She has a strong work ethic and even when she doesn't know the answer to something she makes sure she finds the answer by utilizing all of the available resources at her disposal. Her dedication to her patient is shown through her advocacy in making sure that they are receiving the best care possible at this organization."

Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall (MSLC) is a not-for-profit community hospital with campuses in Newburgh and Cornwall, NY.
