I’ve been taking care of my skin since I was eighteen, when I first began working as a fashion model and found myself under heavy makeup, hot lights, and constantly changing climates that demanded a lot from my skin.
It was an early education in how skin actually behaves.
What I learned very quickly is that skincare rarely fails because the products themselves are ineffective, but because routines become overcomplicated or mismatched to what the skin actually needs, leaving people trying one new thing after another while their skin is simply asked to juggle too many inputs at once.
The truth is that skin isn’t fragile at all. It is remarkably resilient when it receives the kind of nourishment it can recognize and rely on, and when that happens the barrier strengthens, hydration improves, and sensitivity often begins to settle.
At some point you stop chasing trends and start supporting your skin instead.
When that shift happens, skincare becomes less about experimentation and more about confidence.
That philosophy has always been at the heart of Cultivate.
If you’re curious about how I think about supporting the skin barrier, you can explore the serums we make from the botanicals grown here on the farm.
