This is a copy/paste from a friend. So so sad this is happening in our world. It's a HUGE REASON WE WORK TO EDUCATE so folks can make informed choices.
OFFICIAL SOAPBOX MOMENT. 🤣🤣
This image was sent to me this morning by a caring friend. It breaks my heart that people are still using these toxins around their pets!!
Truly, if you have fragrance plug-ins in your home, please understand that those are filled with synthetic fragrances, fixatives and other compounds that cause far worse damage than feeling sick. 🤢
But here is what I found really sad. The substance being blamed for the "sickness" and "causing harm" in this product? Clove oil.
Seriously????
I have SOOOO many problems with that "assumption" Not just that fact that out of all the ingredients listed on the packaging, they decide clove oil is the problem. 😤 So, I decided to go look up the packaging and see what is in there. Take a look:
Ingredients: Fragrance (Parfum)(Fragrance Ingredient),PPG-2 Methyl Ether Acetate(88917-22-0,Solvent),PPG-3 Methyl Ether(37286-64-9,Solvent),Eugenol,Cinnamal,Isopropyl Myristate(110-27-0,Solvent),Coumarin,Benzyl Benzoate,Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate(6683-19-8,Stabilizer),Benzotriazolyl Dodecyl p-Cresol(125304-04-3,Stabilizer),Dipropylene Glycol(25265-71-8,Solvent),Limonene,Citral,Linalool,Propylene Glycol(57-55-6,Solvent),Denatonium Benzoate(3734-33-6,Denaturant), Methoxyisopropanol
While the advertising may say "scent of clove", There is no clove oil listed. it is actually the chemical consituents of clove that are included on this label. Did you know that when the compounds are listed out like this, they do NOT need to be from a natural source. 😱 😨 Nope! They can be made in a lab, and simply replicas of natural compounds. But we as educated natural consumers know that science can NOT replicate natural products completely.
I have been using these essential oils for over 20 years, and diffusing almost daily for at least 15 years. Just yesterday I added Clove, Thieves and Nutmeg to all 7 of my diffusers and ran them for most of the day. I do this BECAUSE I have animals in my house. I want them to easily absorb these oils all day long.
Ok, I'll get off my soapbox for now. 😄😅
Friends, don't fall prey to misinformation. While I am totally in agreement that most all Bath and Bodyworks products are harmful, it is NOT because of essential oils. The fact of the matter is they do NOT actually use authentic essential oils.
