If you're 45 or older, or have a family history, getting screened could be one of the most important decisions you make for your health.

This simple screening can detect colon cancer early, when it’s most treatable, and even prevent it altogether by removing precancerous polyps. Many people don’t experience symptoms until it’s too late, which is why routine screenings are so critical.

Schedule your colonoscopy today at 812-477-6103!

"Can I just take a pill for that?" It’s a question we hear a lot! 💊🥦

When it comes to fiber, convenience is great, but your gut thrives on variety. Think of your digestive system like a garden: a fiber supplement is like adding a single type of fertilizer, while whole veggies are like providing rich soil, water, and sunshine all at once.
Fiber Pills: ✅ Great for consistency. ✅ Helpful for specific GI conditions. ❌ Missing the vitamins and water found in food.
Whole Veggies: ✅ Packed with antioxidants and minerals. ✅ High water content for easier digestion. ✅ Supports a diverse gut microbiome.
So, what’s the bottom line? Supplements are a great way to "fill the gap" if you're struggling to hit your daily goals, but they shouldn't be your main source.

Do late night snacks really lead to a bigger belly?

Not exactly, but it’s a bit more complicated.

Indigestion is more related to what you eat (fatty, spicy foods) and how quickly you eat, not just the time. Weight gain is tied to total calorie intake versus expenditure, not solely the timing. However, lying down right after a large meal can worsen reflux.

So, what’s the takeaway?

Total calories matter most! If you do eat late, keep the portion small and the ingredients mild. And whatever you do, avoid the couch or bed for at least two hours to prevent that uncomfortable reflux.
