Chiropractic is designed to locate vertebral subluxations. The correction of those subluxations will allow the body to function better physically, mentally, and socially. Chiropractors main purpose is to locate subluxations by examination and x-rays and remove them by manual adjustments (manipulations), allowing the body to heal itself. As chiropractors, we know that a body free from the interference of vertebral subluxations will function better and will be able to heal itself at its own normal pace. This process takes time, regardless of what people may or may not think. The body sets its own pace and brings healing function in its own time. Chiropractic is the largest natural healing art in the world. It is based on the premise that the body is a self healing organism and that the nervous system is the master control system of the body. Minor displacements of the spinal bones, can cause endangering stress to the spinal cord, which acts as the main line of intelligence for the whole body. These displacements (subluxations) are the cause of many of the unwanted health conditions that people suffer from every day.
