Dr. Drew hit me with something today that stopped me in my tracks.

"There's a form of investing that never crashes. We're not talking about portfolios. We're talking about purpose."

We'd just wrapped another record Monday in Venice. Long day, 6 AM to 10 PM. And I'm thinking about all the conversations we have with people about investing—real estate, crypto, stocks.

But what happens when the market crashes? What happens when your portfolio tanks?

Purpose doesn't crash. Purpose compounds.

Dr. Drew drove an hour one way this weekend to watch his patient Lainey race. She's 11 years old, going 70-80 mph in a little go-kart. Before the race, she finds Dr. Drew: "I want to make sure I'm adjusted. Can you adjust me?"

Eleven years old. And she understands that being clear matters before performance.

That's not just a cute story. That's years of investment paying dividends in an 11-year-old's understanding that clarity equals performance.

I had a woman in today who broke down crying on the table after her very first Atlas adjustment. Today she said, "This Atlas thing blows my mind. How it changes everything in your state of mind. Everybody needs to be in here getting their Atlas checked."

She read my book twice. Now her husband's reading it.

That's the compound interest of education. That's what happens when you invest truth into people's lives.

The market will crash. It always does. But purpose? Purpose never stops paying dividends.

They crush your ego to keep you small. Ignite the God within.

I've had some conversations with men this week who told me they're always trying to "check their ego" or worried they have "too big of an ego."

And I'm thinking this morning: What the hell is wrong with ego?

Growing up, everyone tells us: Stay humble. Don't get egotistical. Keep your ego in check.

But then if you're an athlete or in school, they're pushing you for higher grades, better performance, to be your best. Here's the thing: If you don't feel good about yourself, if you're thinking in lack, your performance is not going to be the best you can be.

So I'm going out on a limb here: It's good to have an ego.

I'll be honest with you—I have a big ego. I wake up every day and tell myself: "I am awesome."

People say ego means "Edging God Out."

But is it really?

Did God make you in lack? Did he make you to be sad? To live in fear?

We were created in His likeness, which is a pretty big deal. So to fill your ego and tell yourself—as long as you're putting in the work—that you kick ass, you're awesome, you're confident, you can do it, you have faith, you will, you must...

Maybe that's not ego edging God out. Maybe it's ego tapping into the God inside. Letting Him flow from above down, inside out.

If we ignite that power within that we each have and step up with confidence to say we are worthy—that's not arrogance. That's alignment.

Dr. Drew showed me a picture today that stopped me in my tracks.

Jesus holding a little lamb, completely calm and protected, while wolves circle behind them. The lamb doesn't even know what's going on—just peaceful, at ease, safe in those hands.

"That's really how we have to be," Dr. Drew said, "when we have these cases that come in from all over the state, different states, to get the principle."

Complete certainty. No fear. No being flustered. Complete control of the situation.

That's the same certainty we need when someone hands us a baby having seizures. When a woman flies from another state because her chiropractor "doesn't touch her neck." When the wolves of our profession try to convince us we need to add modalities, therapies, and treatments to "help people more."

The wolves are always circling. Sometimes they're external—the marketing gurus who call chiropractors "low-hanging fruit." Sometimes they're internal—the fear-based healthcare marketing that turns us into pain management instead of life enhancement.

But here's what the wolves don't want you to understand: It's simple.

A subluxation is bad. It interferes with the expression of life. We're the only people in the universe trained to correct vertebral subluxations. So let's do that and watch life come back.

Every time you set up on a patient to correct a subluxation, you're holding that lamb. Everything goes quiet. The wolves don't matter. It's just you, the principle, and the certainty that what you're doing changes lives.
