Backstreet Arts continues to create meaningful opportunities for connection and creativity through their workshops, offering a welcoming space where individuals can engage in art and community. 🎨

We’re grateful for partners like Backstreet Arts who make experiences like this accessible and impactful.

Holli from The Burch House recently attended one of their workshops, where she learned to sew a beach bag, what a great way to build skills, confidence, and connection in recovery! 💙

Amanda and Sam have completed the first of two 24-hour Georgia Association of Recovery Residences (GARR) Recovery Residence Associate (RRA) trainings! 🎉

An RRA (Recovery Residence Associate) is trained to support safe, structured, and ethical recovery housing, helping ensure residents have a stable environment to grow in their recovery journey. This is a huge step in strengthening the quality of care at The Burch House.

They’re one step closer to becoming fully certified, just one more training to go! 🤓
We’re proud of their dedication to learning and to serving our recovery community well. 💙

Peer support is making a real impact, and Coweta County is part of the story.

A new national SAMHSA advisory highlights how peer recovery support is changing lives in rural communities, and even features Coweta FORCE on page 16 as a model for how this work can grow and thrive.

We’re grateful for leaders like the Georgia Council for Recovery and the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network , who have helped build the foundation for peer support across our state.

Through listening sessions, community conversations, and peer-led support, recovery is becoming more visible, more accessible, and more powerful right here at home.

We’re proud to be part of a movement that proves recovery is possible, and happening every day.

Last week, Coweta FORCE was represented at the UGA IDEA Symposium on “Issues of Substance: Addiction and Recovery.” The conversations highlighted how substance use continues to impact every community, and the importance of meeting it with understanding, collaboration, and real pathways to recovery.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to learn, connect, and bring back ideas that strengthen the work happening here in Coweta.

Thankful for partners across the region who are committed to this work, and for JJ attending and representing alongside so many dedicated individuals.

Coweta FORCE is so grateful for the incredible support and service of Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta over the past 2 years! 🙌

Our Senior Counsel contact, Eadaoin Walsh, has been such a strong ally for recovery and for our organization. Her guidance and dedication have made a lasting impact, and we truly wouldn’t be where we are today without the support of this amazing partnership.

Thank you for standing with us and helping strengthen our mission! 💙

We are so proud to see our very own Bonnie featured in the newspaper! 📰✨

Her story is a powerful reminder that recovery is possible and that lived experience can create real change in our community. Bonnie’s passion, dedication, and heart for helping others is what makes her such an incredible part of our team.

Thank you, Bonnie, for the impact you make every single day, we are honored to have you at Coweta FORCE! 💙

Take a moment to read her story and celebrate the difference recovery can make.

From DUI arrest to recovery

More than a decade after hitting rock bottom, Bonnie Latham is nearly nine years sober and working on the front lines of recovery in Coweta County, using her own story to reach people who feel stuck, overwhelmed and out of options.

“I realized I could use everything I went through for something good,” she said.

You are not alone.

Having an incarcerated loved one can bring stress, uncertainty, and isolation, but you don’t have to carry it by yourself. Support, understanding, and connection are available.

Join the Prison Families Alliance Support Group. A safe, welcoming space to share, listen, and connect with others who truly understand. The group is facilitated by a mother with lived experience.
