I’m close to wrapping up our wellness program detox, and one of the things I committed to was something most people don’t think about… detoxing from screens.
Not just food, but the constant stimulation, notifications, and late-night scrolling that quietly drain our nervous system.
Over the past few weeks I’ve focused on a few simple shifts:
More nature, less stress
More plants, less processed
More being, less doing
More sleep, less screens
And the difference is noticeable.
My sleep is deeper.
My mind feels clearer.
My energy is steadier throughout the day.
And the constant “wired but tired” feeling has softened.
When we think about detox, we often focus only on what we eat. But true detoxification also includes what we consume with our eyes, our mind, and our time.
Sometimes the most powerful medicine isn’t something we add…
it’s something we remove.
