It's no secret that erectile dysfunction (ED) affects men of all ages.
Recent studies have found that 52 percent of the adult male population in Massachusetts experience ED, with an additional 5 to 15 percent increasing between individuals aged 40-70.
But even younger men are not exempt from this problem - a study published by The Journal of Sexual Medicine discovered 25% under the age of 40 suffer from it too.
Several factors can contribute to diminished sexual functioning like Peyronie’s Disease, aging and low testosterone levels as well as underlying medical conditions such as diabetes or peripheral vascular disease and from prostate surgery may also lead to symptoms associated with ED.
However, clinical research has demonstrated success using shockwave therapy following surgical removal of the prostate can dramatically improve the chances of recovering full erectile function.
