The residents had fun watching the Coats & Kindness fashion show while they gathered coats and other warm clothing to give to those in need. Who were the showstoppers? In all, twenty-three people took part in the show: Bill and Barbara, Roberta, Barbara, Rick, Patricia, Renata Rosalie, Julie, and Steve R.—not to mention the excited staff members, directors and Michael B., ELD's son, who walked the runway with his mom to display their matching coats and scarves, all of which were graciously donated by Julie G. Thank you Julie and Barbara for all your help this show was a huge success because of you both!
We can’t forget about our ED Brian making his fashion show debut! We will still be collecting donations till December 1st reach out to Engage Life if you would like to donate.

On Veterans Day, our community came together to honor the heroes who have served our country.

We enjoyed a patriotic lunch, shared personal stories, learned about the history of the holiday and paid tribute to the veterans who call our communities home – and those who continue to inspire us every day.

To all who have served: Thank you for your bravery and service. 🇺🇸

A couple of weeks ago, we held an event called Page Turners, and it was a tremendous success. We requested that the residents bring a book, and residents had an opportunity to take a book from the book exchange. The sheer volume of donated books surprised us. There were a few plants and bookmakers, and they were extremely enjoyable. This is something that we should do on a regular basis because we received so many compliments on it. Continuing this tradition could promote a deeper connection among the residents, as well as encourage a love for reading. We could even expand the event to include author readings or book discussions to make it even more engaging.📚

We are grateful to Atria Newport Beach for providing us with such a wonderful opportunity to celebrate with our staff, families, and friends.
We invited everyone to the Our Kids, Candy, and Kindness employee appreciation event. Food, music, Disney characters, and a face-painting area were all available, and everyone had the opportunity to decorate and take home a pumpkin decorated by them. 🎃🍁🍭
