Great Question... What is Hypnosis?
Well, Hypnosis is a natural, relaxed state of inner-focused attention. Your conscious mind relaxes and your subconscious mind becomes open to positive suggestions.
Did you know we go ‘in and out’ of hypnosis many times during the day, especially right before falling asleep and upon waking in the morning. We are often in a state similar to ‘hypnosis’ while we watch a movie or drive a car. (Have you ever arrived at your destination and forgotten most of the drive home? Or become so involved in a movie that your body responds physiologically to it though it’s not ‘real?’)
These are subtle forms of hypnosis. While stage hypnosis is used for entertainment, therapeutic hypnosis, called hypnotherapy, is used to assist a person toward a desired goal.
