Millions of women are living with a s*xual predator who routinely r**es them. But they may not even recognize the abuse as such, because patriarchy convinces them they owe their male partners s*x, that having s*x they do not want to have is somehow okay if the s*x is with someone who claims to love them.

But r**e is r**e, no matter who is doing it. And it’s not consensual s*x if you don’t want to have it.

Yet even when women coerced into s*x recognize the harms of coercion, marriage counselors, friends, family, self-help gurus, and an entire culture built around male s*xual entitlement instruct them that they’re being selfish. Men have needs! Put a s*x date on the calendar! Don’t you know it’s his love language?
