Not just this month—but every month—let’s uplift Indigenous voices, acknowledge the gaps, and remind every Native mother:
You deserve safety.
You deserve support.
You deserve to be heard.

Advocating for breastfeeding is not the same as bashing formula. I speak up because education, support, and resources matter for the moms who want to breastfeed but feel unsupported. You can promote breastfeeding and still respect every family’s choice — both truths can exist at the same time.

Breast is biologically best. That’s not opinion, that’s physiology. What isn’t best is the lack of support, education, and resources moms get. If we fixed that, more families could feed the way they WANT to. Let’s talk about solutions, not shame.

Yes, I’m still breastfeeding my 4-year-old — and here’s why 👇🏾
Breastfeeding isn’t “just for babies.”
The actually recommends breastfeeding for at least 2 years and beyond — as long as it’s mutually desired by parent and child.
At this age, it’s less about milk and more about comfort, connection, and security.
It’s his safe space to wind down, to fall asleep, and to feel close.
It still provides:
✨ Immune support
✨ Emotional regulation
✨ A calm bedtime routine
✨ A bond that helps him feel grounded and loved
It’s called extended breastfeeding — and it’s normal in many cultures around the world.
So no, it’s not “weird.” It’s biological, emotional, and intentional.

Doulas don’t just walk beside birth
we walk beside love, and loss, and everything in between.
To the little light who left too soon
you changed me.
You taught me that even in loss, there is love.
And in silence, there is still memory.

BOTTOM LINE:
A doula is for any mom who wants to feel supported, seen, and prepared — not just the young first-timers. At 30+, you know what you need… a doula helps you actually get it.

be real — a lot of women don’t breastfeed, and it’s not because they don’t want to. It’s deeper than that. Some are scared — scared of not producing enough, scared of pain, scared of doing it wrong.
Some just don’t have the knowledge, because no one ever taught them what to expect or how to get help.
Others lose confidence fast — especially when people around them question everything they do.
Then there’s the judgment — from people who say you should breastfeed, and from others who say you shouldn’t.
And let’s not forget — so many moms simply don’t have the resources or support to keep going. So before you judge a mom for how she feeds her baby, remember — it’s not always a choice.
It’s a lack of support. 💔
Let’s change that. 🫶

Postpartum moms, this one’s for you.
Did you know that about half of all breast cancer cases in women under 45 are diagnosed within five years after giving birth? 💔
Your body goes through so much after childbirth — but changes in your breasts shouldn’t be ignored.
If something feels off — a lump, pain, or skin change — trust your instincts and get it checked. 💗
Early detection saves lives.

For many postpartum moms, the weeks and months after birth can be some of the most vulnerable. While you’re healing, bonding with your baby, and adjusting to a new chapter, no one should have to carry the weight of abuse.
💔 The reality:
Nearly 45% of mothers report experiencing intimate partner violence in the year after giving birth.
Women who have experienced abuse are 80% more likely to face postpartum depression.
Almost half of homicides involving pregnant or postpartum women are linked to intimate partner violence.
💜 The truth:
You are not alone. You are not to blame. You deserve to heal, to be safe, and to be supported.
If you or someone you know needs help, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233).

Let’s break the silence. Let’s stand with postpartum moms. DROP A 💜 IN THE COMMENTS ✨

As a postpartum doula and a single mom, I want you to know — you are not weak for feeling tired, you are human. And with God’s strength, you don’t just survive, you rise. Your baby has everything they need, because they have you — and you have God carrying you through.

It’s not always about “getting things done.” Sometimes the win is just resting with your baby on your chest. 💤💕

Mama, your body is healing, your heart is adjusting, and your baby feels safest right where you are. Don’t feel guilty for slowing down—this is the work. 🫶🏽
Drop a 🌙 if you’re soaking in these quiet evening moments too.
