Grateful for this season, every step of the becoming. ✨

I swear its the moment it’s time to leave…
🍼 someone needs a diaper change
🍪 someone suddenly remembers they’re starving
👟 shoes disappear
😴 or the baby decides now is the perfect time to fall asleep
And don’t let me forget the classic:
“I just need ONE more minute” — every mom, every time.

Black moms aren’t dying because of “bad choices.”
They’re dying because their pain is dismissed.
Because their concerns are minimized.
Because bias still exists in exam rooms, labor rooms, and postpartum care.
Education, income, and insurance do not protect Black women from being unheard.
This isn’t about individual decisions—
it’s about a system that too often fails to listen.
Black moms deserve care that is respectful, responsive, and rooted in humanity.
Full stop.
