Spring begins soon, and with it, a moment to honor and uplift Native communities affected by HIV.

Access to testing, treatment, and prevention isn’t equal—and Native populations face unique barriers that impact health outcomes.

Highlighting these challenges helps ensure resources, care, and support reach the people who need them most. 🤍

Women account for nearly 1 in 5 new HIV diagnoses in the U.S., with Black women disproportionately affected.

Education matters.
Prevention matters.

Employee Appreciation Day on Friday, the 6th of March, gave our team a chance to step away from the office, relax, and enjoy some time together at the bowling alley.

Laughter, friendly competition, and a few surprise strikes made for a well-deserved break.

Grateful for a team that shows up with compassion, commitment, and heart. Already looking forward to the next outing! 🤍

Today, across the world, we celebrate International Women’s Day — a moment to honor the leadership, resilience, and impact of women everywhere.

From boardrooms to classrooms, from homes to community health centers, women are often the ones holding communities together, advocating for better systems, and making sure people are cared for when they need it most.

At MASS, we see that every day.

The women in our organization embody compassion, persistence, and a deep commitment to meeting people where they are — improving health outcomes, expanding HIV prevention, and supporting individuals navigating complex healthcare systems.

We’re proud to spotlight some of the women who help move our mission forward and make our community stronger. 💜

Public health isn’t glamorous.

It’s paperwork.
It’s hard conversations.
It’s sitting with people on their worst days.

And still choosing kindness.

If you’ve ever been tested, supported, educated, or encouraged by someone here at MASS — this is your reminder that the people doing this work are human too.

Drop some love in the comments. They deserve it this

Quick question...

What’s stopping you from getting tested?

Time?
Nerves?
“It won’t happen to me.”?

We’re open today at Newport News for free HIV testing.

Slide through after work. Bring a friend. Or come alone and leave lighter.

Some people heal in church pews.
Some heal in waiting rooms.
Some heal in group chats at 2 a.m.

For others, healing means a safe space where they’re allowed to exist without judgment.

National Week of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS is about remembering the lives we’ve lost, honoring those still fighting, and making room for hope — without pretending everything is okay.

If you need someone in your corner, that door is always open. 💜

Join our HIV Support Group on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at our Newport News office.
