🔥 Struggling with nagging hip pain? One common culprit is hip bursitis- inflammation of the small fluid-filled sacs (bursae) that cushion your hip joint.

When the bursa gets irritated, it causes pain and tenderness on the outside of the hip. Overuse, repetitive movements, muscle imbalances, or even a sudden increase in activity can overload the hip joint. Rest and ice can help calm irritation, but movement matters too! Gentle stretches and strengthening exercises can ease tension, improve mobility, and prevent flare-ups.
💡 Remember: stretching is not just about pain relief…it’s about restoring balance so your hips can move the way they’re meant to. If pain lingers or worsens, don’t ignore it- get checked by a professional to rule out other causes.
Take care of your hips now so they can take care of you later! 🦵💙

OSC Physical Therapy is now offering… StemWave!

What is StemWave? 🤔
StemWave is an FDA listed medical device that utilizes harmless, yet powerful acoustic waves to activate the body’s natural healing mechanisms. This non-invasive treatment option was designed to help patients dealing with musculoskeletal conditions related to pain and inflammation.

How Does StemWave Work? 💪
When these waves pe*****te damaged tissue or areas of inflammation, it activates a natural response within the body as if a new injury has occurred. This immediately kickstarts the biological healing process by sending healing agents to help reduce inflammation and repair damaged tissue in the injured area. Ultimately, the goal of this treatment is to “awaken” dormant cells that are critical for healing – without the need for invasive procedures or medication.

OSC has the only StemWave unit in the Hampton Roads area! Call to schedule an appointment with us at (757)-596-1900 ext. 356 📞❗️
