Smile Before You Feel Happy

Smiling actually makes you happier-seriously.

Our brains are hardwired to understand that we smile when we encounter something positive. The brain releases endorphins and lowers our stress levels. By smiling during situations that are less exciting, we trick our brains into believing that we are experiencing something more desirable. That, in turn, makes us feel happier.

Try smiling in situations that seem monotonous, boring, or even difficult.

Simple and effective.

Wanna teach yourselves how to quickly calm your nervous system?

Get into this position. Turn off any music or other distractions.

Set a timer for 5 minutes.

In that small amount of time, ligaments in the spine and pelvis will relax, tension in your neck and back will melt away, and your nervous system will calm dramatically (i.e. rectifying your Qi).

I use this when I travel for seminars.

I’ve had times when I simply can’t fall asleep. And it’s midnight. And I have to lecture for the next 2-3 days.

5 minutes like this and I sleep like a baby.

It’s also helped me with low back pain.

And headaches.

And neck and upper back stiffness and pain.

Seriously. Super simple ”exercise” that’s worth its weight in gold!
