We asked Almine about the use of the Palatine title in connection with the oils. We have seen it spelled Palatina as well as Palatine. She has also used the Dowager Countess of Shannon title on occasion. She explained: "The Palatine title is actually an Italian title and is the Contessa Palatina Della Corona Romana Sicly-Napoli. Palatine is the English way of saying it. The Shannon title is through marriage. The word Dowager means the Earl that I married has passed away. I am entitled to use five differet titles: English, Welsh, Irish an Italian."
