What is Subzero Cryotherapy and how is it used?
Subzero Cryotherapy is a type of localized cold therapy that uses a pressurized stream of carbon dioxide (CO2) gas to quickly and safely cool a specific area of the body. This "thermal shock" triggers the body's natural healing response.
Unlike whole-body cryotherapy, which cools the entire body inside a chamber, Subzero Cryotherapy is targeted and treats a smaller, localized area.
How it works:
A handheld device delivers the ultra-cold v***r directly to the skin.
The skin's surface temperature drops dramatically in less than a minute.
What is Subzero Cryotherapy and what does it do?
This rapid cooling causes blood vessels to narrow (constrict). Afterward, they expand more than usual, flooding the area with oxygenated, nutrient-rich blood to speed up healing.
Uses and benefits:
People use Subzero Cryotherapy for both wellness and cosmetic purposes.
Pain management and sports recovery: It can be used to quickly relieve pain and reduce inflammation from sports injuries, muscle soreness, and joint issues.
Fat reduction (Cryoslimming): The cold temperatures can freeze and destroy fat cells in targeted areas like the abdomen, thighs, or arms without harming the surrounding tissue. The body then naturally eliminates these dead fat cells over time.
Aesthetic treatments: It is also used on the face and neck to boost collagen production, tighten the skin, and reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and puffiness.
What the experience is like:
The sensation is an intense, tingling cold that typically subsides quickly.
The treatments are fast, often lasting only 30 seconds to 3 minutes for pain management and up to 30 minutes for fat reduction.
It is a non-invasive procedure, meaning there are no needles or surgery, and most people can return to their normal activities immediately.
