Congratulations to the participants and winners of the 2026 North Carolina Preliminary Paramedic Competitions!!!
These regional competitions are held each year at community college EMS programs across the state and serve as the qualifying rounds for the North Carolina State Paramedic Competition.
During the preliminary events, paramedic teams face realistic, high-pressure scenarios designed to test their patient assessment, clinical decision-making, teamwork, and communication skills. Competitors must work through complex calls just as they would in the field while being evaluated by experienced judges from across the EMS profession.
The top teams from each preliminary site advance to compete in the State Paramedic Championship at the 2026 NC EMS Expo, where they will go head-to-head to determine the best paramedic team in North Carolina.
