March Madness is here! Brackets are filling out, games are heating up, and the excitement is everywhere. While friendly competition can be fun, it’s also a good time to remember the importance of responsible gambling.
For some people, betting on games can move from fun to harmful. If you or someone you know is feeling pressure to gamble, chasing losses, or betting more than intended, it may be time to pause and seek support.
✔️ Set limits before you bet
✔️ Only gamble what you can afford to lose
✔️ Keep the focus on the fun of the game—not the wager
If gambling stops being fun and starts causing stress, help is available. You’re not alone, and support is just a conversation away.

Let’s enjoy the excitement of the tournament while keeping our health and well-being a priority.

The holidays are meant for joy — not stress over money. 🎁💳
If gambling is part of your holiday mix, small bets can quickly add up. Here’s how to stay in control:

1️⃣ Set a clear budget for gifts and entertainment — and stick to it.
2️⃣ Limit gambling: Decide your time and money upfront. Only gamble what you can afford to lose.
3️⃣ Watch emotional triggers like stress or loneliness. Step back if you feel tempted.
4️⃣ Find fun alternatives: Social activities, volunteering, or self-care can replace risky habits.

Your presence matters more than your presents. 💛

📞 Need help? Call the National Problem Gambling Helpline: 1-800-522-4700 or visit Gamblers Anonymous. Call JCHD (618-783-4154) to speak with a therapist.
