Unlike many other sober living communities, NextHome not only allows for Medication Assisted Recovery, we see the value in it. Research has shown that for many, medication improves social functioning and retention to treatment. It restores balance to the brain, eliminates cravings, increases the ability to maintain employment and can be taken safely for months, years or even a lifetime. Simply put, medication assisted treatment is just another tool that allows addicts to overcome addiction and live a self-directed life, and though whenever promote the medication itself, we have seen it work in countless lives and will support any of our residents that make the decision to take advantage of it.
