Feline Friday! (Trigger Warning)
Sage recently came into the ER and underwent a cystotomy to remove a bladder stone

Urinary stones can occur in both male and female cats and carry serious risks!

Left untreated, stones can cause:
• Severe pain and straining
• Blood in the urine
• Recurrent urinary tract infections
• Urinary blockage (especially in male cats)
• Bladder damage or rupture in advanced cases
• Kidney injury if obstruction persists

Dr. Barron and Dr. Hipkin shared that the surgery was a success and Sage is making a speedy recovery!

If you notice straining, frequent litter box trips, accidents outside the box, lethargy, or vomiting — please seek care immediately.
Early intervention can be lifesaving!
