Railway Clubhouse Railway Clubhouse opened in June 2023 in Newton, KS. Clubhouse is a community of support for recovery with mental illness.

It's a strengths-based community focusing on meaningful work, building relationships with others and advocacy.

ATTENTION: We need help painting and prepping the new location!
We are getting very close to being able to move in. Until then we will be spending a lot of time between there and the house. Please call the transportation phone for a ride or to check which location we are in.

Employment is a big focus of Railway Clubhouse. Transitional Employment provides support to colleagues wanting to reenter the workforce. If you or someone you know in our community might have a position available or wants to know more please reach out!

A Healthy Diet Can Affect Your Mental Health:
• Keep your blood sugar level down by eating healthier like eating vegetables.
• If you keep hydrated then you will be in a better mood, energy level and you will be able to concentrate.
• Your brain keeps working well if you eat these kinds of foods olive oil, rapeseed oil, nuts, seeds, oily fish, avocados, milk and eggs.
• Amino acids help your brain regulate your mood.
• Fruit, vegetables, beans and probiotics are foods that help your guts and help you to have less stress in your life.
• Avoid caffeine because caffeine won’t help with your sleeping, and it makes you irritable. Caffeine can make you anxious.
• Eating with your family is another healthy wait to eat.
• If you are eating things that make you happier then maybe you have an eating disorder.
• Vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants are the items that nourish the brain.
• Mediterranean food really helps you reduce stress.
• Keep hydrated, but don’t drink alcohol.
