More employee gratitude this Mirror Monday. We have some incredible staff here at Mirror, and it makes all the difference. Hard and important work like ours takes a collaborative team, and we often hear that facility staff feel like a family. Whether accounting, RRC, Treatment, telehealth, or anywhere in between, we thank our staff for their dedication and sacrifice to helping Mirror accomplish our mission every day.

Happy Monday! This month, we will be highlighting some kind words from our staff to show how grateful we are for their hard work. So many of our employees have been impacted by Mirror's services that they come back to work for us. How incredible to be able to have had such a great experience at Mirror that they are able to come back and support others in their recovery! Our employees give so much of themselves for our clients, but they often share how much they themselves are impacted by contributing to Mirror's mission. Thank you to all of our staff who show up for others every day.

As National Prevention Month is coming to a close, we are so thankful to have a passionate and effective prevention team looking for ways to protect kids - as future adults - from the dangers of substances. Research shows that individuals who do not use substances prior to the age of 18 are significantly less likely to experience dependence as an adult. We are proud to be able to say that Mirror saves many lives as one of the largest providers of substance use treatment in Kansas while simultaneously working on root causes to prevent substance use for younger generations.

It's our last Mirror Monday of Prevention Month, so we have a quote from our Prevention Specialist, Manny Perez, about his program, Teen Intervene. Manny works hard with students and families throughout the area to redirect kids to healthy behaviors. The students that he works with make challenging decisions to better their life and are often so grateful for the support, education, and encouragement provided by Manny.

It's never too late to have an impactful and positive relationship with the youth that come across your path! That's how prevention begins!
