Earlier this month, Mirror staff partnered with the Kansas Highway Patrol to conduct a training for the Osage County Sheriff's Department, Police Departments throughout Osage County, and first responders for Mirror's Highway to Hope program. Here's a sneak peek of our new Residential Reentry Center that will be opening soon in Wichita. Starting May 1st, we will welcome residents into this facility to set them on their path to success! We look forward to working closely with community partners to expand resource networks for our residents.

Yesterday, many of our community partners were able to take a look a look at the facility and hear about the increased impacts that will happen within these walls and beyond!

📢 Announcing the Reflection of Hope Award winner, Karen Peel!

Karen serves as the nurse for Shawnee Residential, but has been balancing her time between our Shawnee and Topeka locations. Her supervisor describes her as a "systems-thinker" who not only demonstrates excellence judgment in all situations, but creates systems frameworks and safety protocols to benefit both staff and clients.

"With extensive expertise in the nursing field, Karen provides invaluable medical guidance to both clients and staff. Beyond her clinical duties, Karen acts as a vital bridge for our team, collaborating daily with our MAT provider and leading monthly sessions with the clinical team to ensure a cohesive approach to treatment. Karen's extensive nursing expertise is the foundation of the high-quality care provided to our clients."

Partnership Highlight 🎉

Our Newton facilities partnered with 's School of Barbering to provide free services to our staff, outpatient, and residential clients. Nine barbering students came to our Newton locations and were able to gain hands-on hours toward their licensure while also impacting both staff and clients with fresh looks heading into spring. Thank you to HCC for helping to start this unique and impactful partnership with us!
