What inspires me is seeing the smiling faces of my patients once they have recovered from their back pain.

Back pain is excruciating. There is no other way to put it. Following years of treating people with back and neck discomfort, I recognized there was a superior way of treatment. I looked and searched for a better choice after seeing how many folks had issues from open back surgery. Finally, I came across it: minimally invasive laser spine surgery. My ultimate goal is to assist patients, and minimally invasive surgery is the solution. Less invasive, smaller incisions, faster recovery, and reduced pain. After many years of using this therapy, I have witnessed numerous breakthroughs in the treatment of back pain. It’s a win-win situation for everyone.

Our Story

Dr. Carl Spivak is a board certified Neurosurgeon and President of Executive Spine Surgery P.C. His clinical interests are interventional and minimally invasive spinal surgery and he is well known for his conservative minimally invasive approach and innovative cutting edge endoscopic spinal techniques. Dr. Spivak received his medical degree from the University of Winnipeg in Canada, and continued his training at the University of Saskatchewan where he completed his residency in Neurological Surgery. He then completed a Complex Spine and Peripheral Nerve Surgery Fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center and Minimal Invasive Spine Surgery and Interventional and Surgical Pain Management at Semmes-Murphey Neurologic and Spine Institute in Memphis, TN. Dr. Spivak is a member of numerous prestigious medical organizations including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. His interest in clinical research has led to publications in the Canadian Journal of Neurological Sciences and the Journal of Neurosurgery, as well as numerous presentations at national scientific meetings including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Canadian Congress of Neurological Sciences.
